Bathing in a river is a fun. During the ‘Educational Tour Sri Paunta Sahib’ organized by AmritWorld.com on May 11, 2008, we got a chance to take a bath in historic river of Yamuna near Gurdwara Paunta Sahib. Well, it is not like a river now after a dam has been constructed on river Yamuna Tajewala. A few canals have been made out of main stream. When river Yamuna crosses Gurdwara Paunta Sahib, it no longer looks like a river.

However, this is the same Yamuna and same place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji met Ram Rai, the elder son of 7th Guru, Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji, in river Yamuna in boats. Guru Gobind Singh Ji might have taken bath here for so many times.

When we come to know this historic background, bathing in Yamuna in Paunta Sahib does not remain merely a fun. It becomes no less than a mystic experience.

When we reached Paunta Sahib on May 11, 2008, weather was hot. In such a hot weather, taking bath in fresh and cold water was really enjoyable.
